The Montverde Academy academic experience includes participation in various activities (fine arts, athletics, clubs, and volunteer service organizations) that facilitate and inspire students to achieve excellence as they develop their individual talents and abilities. Choir scholarship – and the art of training to sing with other vocalists – has become a very popular pursuit for many MVA students. Because of the continued interest in vocal arts, as well as the growth of our school and music conservatory, it has become challenging to accommodate all of our boarding students, faculty, and family inside the auditorium for only one annual choral concert.
According to Mr. Aubrey Connelly-Candelario, Montverde Academy Fine Arts Chair, the choral department is trying something new: For everyone’s comfort, the annual spring choral concert (this year’s theme is “Choral Cabaret”) will be held twice this year. The first date is Tuesday, April 26th 7:00 p.m. inside the Sandra O. Stephens Fine Arts Auditorium for faculty and family only. Montverde Academy will have its 2nd concert, our traditional choral concert, on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.
The Tuesday night performance will include some extra bonuses like a free dessert bar and VIP seating. To prepare properly for the event, Montverde Academy is seeking an accurate count of how many will be attending. So, if you would like to reserve seats, please email Mr. Connelly-Candelario directly HERE with the number of people expected in your party. Timely reservations will allow the fine arts department to prepare accordingly. Both concerts are FREE and open to the entire MVA community.
