MVA Lower School parents Gregg and Julie Hermanson, parents of 3rd grader Hannah Hermanson, have been positively impacted by Montverde Academy. They are grateful for how the Academy teaches core values to its Lower School students and how the faculty enthusiastically endorse MVA’s mission to “inspire students to become knowledgeable leaders with a global vision that instills a passion for learning, and that nurtures character development in a disciplined and diverse community.”
Initially, the Hermanson family had decided to send Hannah to an area Christian school, but after visiting MVA’s beautiful campus, and meeting with Lower-school faculty and administrators, they chose Montverde Academy instead. They appreciate being able to send their child to an international school that celebrates diversity in cultures and religions, and are especially assured in knowing that Hannah’s education is under the excellent direction and academic leadership of Lower School Dean Mrs. Meristell Shackelford.
In a recent email interview with MVA’s Alumni and Development Office, Mrs. Hermanson, who also serves as the Academy’s Parent’s Association President, stated that her entire family “…have made life-long friends in our relationship with the Montverde Academy. It truly feels like an extension of our immediate family. We love to be part of a community that really cares about our children. As PA President, I was incredibly humbled last year by all the parents who wanted to help and get involved.”
Tuition dollars alone covers approximately 80% of Montverde Academy’s operating budget. All contributions from parents to Support the Mission are vital to helping the people and programs that make Montverde Academy what it is: an excellent educational institution with talented faculty, staff, and students, a positive and nurturing international coeducational private school offering engaging scholastic curriculums, inspiring fine arts programs, music conservatory, and superb athletic programs.
Montverde Academy is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, so your contribution to the MVA Annual Fund are 100% tax-deductible, and allows everyone to give at their desired level. Without your support, serving the academic needs, and safeguarding the emotional, societal, and physical well-being of our boarding and day students would not be possible. All pledges received by December 31, 2015, will allow MVA to pay for expenditures during the second half of the school year.
