Cadence Whitehouse, Class of 2025, attended the National Student Leadership Conference at the University of California, Berkeley and studied in the medicine and healthcare program. For nine days, she learned a number of skills, such as suturing; performing CPR; making a stretcher, splints, and slings; stopping hemorrhaging, and assessing a medical emergency.
Cadence also visited California Northstate University’s College of Health Sciences where she met professors and doctors in various branches of the medical field.
