Yesterday, Montverde Academy’s College Guidance Office held session #2 of their College Application Camps – events designed to help students navigate the college application process with more ease and less stress. Students were encouraged to bring their iPads or laptops and join Ms. Felecia Williams, Director of College Guidance, and Mrs. Karla Lafferty, Assistant Director of College Guidance, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM for one-on-one time to answer all of those confusing college application questions in an informal setting. The last College Application Camp of the semester will be Friday, November 6th, 2015, 8:00 AM-4 PM (*no school that day).
Mrs. Karla Lafferty, Assistant Director of College Guidance, informed Montverde Communications Office that “students really benefited from our Application Camp last month. Several students were able to complete multiple applications!” Students don’t need to schedule a specific time-appointments to attend college counseling events – but they do need to request permission from their teacher to attend during that class period. All questions relating to college events, admissions, and testing should be directed to the Montverde Academy College Guidance personnel of Ms. Felicia Williams, Director of College Guidance, Mrs. Karla Lafferty, Assistant Director of College Guidance, or Mrs. Taña Erdman, College Guidance Assistant.
