This week, Montverde Academy Class of 2012 alumni Joao de Mello Ramalho, a native of Monte Santo, Minas Gerais, Brazil, was featured in East Tennessee State University’s Men’s Varsity soccer team “Student-Athlete Spotlight.” Ramalho is a former Eagles soccer star who is currently a red-shirt junior forward for East Tennessee State University. In the on-line article, Ramalho praises his Montverde Academy experience: “It was awesome, I just loved it,” said Ramalho. “I had time to play soccer and go to school.
