Johnson-Scharpf to Compete in Italy

1305Sophomore Sydney Johnson-Scharpf recently finished her second training camp for this month as she attempts to find a position on USA National Gymnastic squads traveling to Italy for competition. Sydney accomplished her goal by making her first senior squad to the International Jesolo Cup in Italy on March 19-20!

National Honor Society Inducts New Members

NHS 2016Montverde Academy’s National Honor Society has recently inducted its members for the forthcoming 2016-2017 school year. The Upper School’s NHS chapter accepts students applications for membership. All sophomore, junior, and senior students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher – and who have been in attendance at the Academy for at least one semester are eligible to apply.

MVA Competes Well in Solo and Ensemble Contest

Solo and Ensemble Contest 1-1Earlier this month, Montverde Academy students competed in the Florida District 6 Vocal and Piano Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Hagerty High School. MVA had 16 student-musicians competing in multiple categories and earned a total of 9 scores of Superior (1st place) and 6 scores of Excellent (2nd place).
