Montverde Academy’s 8th annual Night for the Cure, a school charity event to raise money for the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation, Cornerstone Hospice, and University of Florida Shands Cancer Center, will be held on Friday, March 11th from 6:00 pm to 11:30 pm at the MVA Sports Complex.

The 2016 The Montverde Academy Lady Eagles Varsity Softball team wanted to build on the success established by their 2015 District Champion title – and they certainly did. Last night the team fought hard in their close late-game loss (7-5) to Fort Myers Bishop Verot in the Florida Class 4A State Girls Softball Championship.

The Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts adjudicated two Montverde Academy performances. Forty different regional high schools were reviewed throughout the school year and the MVA's Theatre Department was nominated for a host of awards in both the performance and technical categories.

Montverde Academy was again very well with “The Cappies” (Critics and Awards Program) nominations – where high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews!
On May 24, 2016, Alia Rodriguez and Amber Morgan were invited to present at the monthly Kiwanis meeting. Both students participated in an annual essay and speech contest through Builders Club.
Montverde Academy had 186 students walk for our 2016 graduation ceremony held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 1:00 PM inside MVA’s Center for Sportsmanship & Wellness (“The Nest”). MVA’s annual Baccalaureate Service was conducted prior to the commencement ceremony (also held inside the Nest) at 10:00 AM.
